The first piece in my concentration for AP art. It's a castle carved into a book which is what I decided my 'theme' to be. I thought it was a neat idea to take books that would otherwise have been thrown away or never read be turned into cool looking art pieces. It was also a solution for my 3D predicament since I did not want to do clay pots and vessels since many people do.
I began working on it while we were still setting up for our play, so uh, that was kinda cool? This particular one took me about two and a half days of "constant yet on and off work." My favorite thing about it is the gold filigree around the border, I think it's very pretty and fitting with the fantasy type setting.
Well I got a good grade but my overall portfolio that I supported got a 3 (out of five) which is honestly pretty good for being a sophomore. And thank you very much~
